CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The intensified campaign of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) against fugitives resulted in the arrest on Sunday of seven high-ranking wanted persons in Central Luzon.
Among those arrested was a Top 5 Regional Most Wanted Person facing a murder charge.
Members of the Pulilan Municipal Police Station Tracker Team, in coordination with the PIT Bulacan West-RIU3, apprehended the suspect in Bgy. Taal, Pulilan, Bulacan.
In a separate operation, a joint manhunt team led by the San Narciso Municipal Police Station Tracker Team, with the help of the Sta. Maria Municipal Police Station, the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, the Zambales Police Provincial Office, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3, arrested a Top 6 Regional Most Wanted Person in Bgy. Catmon, Sta. Maria, Bulacan.
The suspect was arrested on the strength of a warrant of arrest for murder issued by the Regional Trial Court in Iba, Zambales.
Authorities likewise captured a Top 9 Regional Most Wanted Person and Top 1 Municipal Most Wanted Person in Bgy. Longos, Balagtas, Bulacan.
The suspect, wanted for statutory rape, was arrested by personnel of the Balagtas Municipal Police Station, PIT Bulacan West-RIU3, and the 301st Maneuver Company of RMFB3 through a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court in Malolos City.
In Nueva Ecija, police director Col. Ritchie Claravall said arrested is a Top 2 Regional Most Wanted Person who is also listed as the province’s Top 1 Provincial Most Wanted Person and Jaen’s Top 1 Municipal Most Wanted Person.
Operatives of the Jaen Municipal Police Station and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company apprehended the suspect in Bgy. Niyugan, Jaen.
The suspect is facing two counts of qualified rape and acts of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Another individual listed as the Top 5 Provincial Most Wanted Person and Top 1 Municipal Most Wanted Person in Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija, was arrested in Bgy. San Josef.
The suspect is wanted for sexual assault in relation to Republic Act 7610 and was caught through a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court in Gapan City.
Meanwhile, personnel of the Science City of Muñoz Police Station tracked down a Top 1 City Most Wanted Person and Top 7 Provincial Most Wanted Person in Bgy. Tulay Sais Daang Hari, Navotas City.
The accused is wanted for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The arrest was made through the implementation of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court in Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija.
In Aurora province, a joint team composed of personnel from the Dinalungan Municipal Police Station, the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, the Provincial Intelligence Unit of Aurora Police Provincial Office, and the Silang Municipal Police Station in Cavite arrested the Rank 7 Regional Most Wanted Person in Bgy. Puting Kahoy, Silang, Cavite.
Police said the suspect is wanted for murder and was captured through an intelligence-driven manhunt operation based on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court in Casiguran, Aurora.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez commended the operating units for the successful operations and dedication to law enforcement.
“The arrest of these high-ranking wanted persons reflects the dedication of our personnel and the effectiveness of our intelligence-driven manhunt operations,” Mendez said.
“We will continue to pursue individuals who seek to evade the law and ensure that justice is served. These accomplishments send a clear message that there is no refuge for fugitives in Central Luzon and beyond,” he added.
