SIX Chinese nationals allegedly involved in “cyber-related scams” on Thursday were arrested in a raid in Clarkfield, Pampanga.
The National Bureau of Investigation Cybercrime Division identified those arrested as Xiaojun Wang, Xue Feng Zhang, Ke Xin Ge, Die Liu, Yu Jie Wang, and Hong Hong Zhu.
The raid was launched at Villa 2 Club House, Clark Sunvalley on J.A. Santos Avenue CFZ in Clarkfield, Pampanga.
Authorities conducted the operation based on a warrant of arrest for qualified trafficking in persons issued by Branch 296 of the Parañaque Regional Trial Court.
Found in the area was an office set up with various desktop computers, cellular phones, sim cards, several scripts, and customer ledgers.
The NBI said the scripts and tools are used in scamming activities such as catfishing scams, credit card scams, cryptocurrency scams, and fake investment scams.
Seized during the operation were 12 computer monitors with built-in CPUs, 24 units of different mobile phones, sim cards, a Star link router, and one Toyota Fortuner with plate number NIH 4331.
Cybercrime charges were filed against the arrested suspects.
