CARD PROGRAM BENEFITS 3,000 BATANGUEÑOS

Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, assisted by Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, Ryan Christian Recto and Lipa City Mayor Eric Africa, leads the Cash and Rice Distribution (CARD) program to 3,000 beneficiaries at the Lipa City Youth and Cultural Center in Lipa City, Batangas Saturday (Aug 24, 2024). A joint initiative of the House of Representatives and the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the program seeks to help indigents, senior citizens, PWDs, solo parents and indigenous peoples amid rising food prices. Also present during the event are 143 district and party-list representatives and local government officials.
