TWO suspected drug traffickers on Monday were arrested while P748 million worth of shabu was seized in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Imus City, Cavite.
Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG DEG) chief Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta said the buy-bust took place around 6:26 p.m. Monday at Lavender St. in Bgy. Pasong Buaya II, Imus.
Arrested were a 37-year-old male residing in Pasong Buaya II and a 26-year-old male from Dasma 4, Salawag, Dasmariñas City.
Operatives confiscated a total of 110 kilograms of shabu with a street value of P748 million from the suspects.

Also seized were 10 bundles of boodle money worth P1 million, one genuine P1,000 bill, as well as a cellphone used by the suspects in their illegal transactions.
“The successful operation substantial drug haul is a testament to our relentless efforts to dismantle large-scale drug syndicates operating in our communities,” Matta said.
“We are sending a clear message that the PNP-DEG, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, remains fully committed to eradicating illegal drugs and ensuring that those who engage in this illicit trade are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” he added.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested suspects.
