CAMP VICENTE LIM, Calamba, Laguna — A 67-year-old woman who was kidnapped on Tuesday night in front of her residence at a posh condominium in Makati City was rescued on Friday near a school in Gen. Mariano Alvarez (GMA) in Cavite.
A report to Police Regional Office 4A director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas identified the victim as Nena Aquino, a resident of 1802 Joya Lofts and Tower in Rockwell, Makati City.
Aquino told probers that prior to the kidnap, she was on her way to meet a friend. She said she was walking when two men suddenly approached and had her smell something that made her unconscious at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
The victim said she was brought to a room in an undisclosed place. Her hands and feet were tied with a rope and her mouth was covered with duct tape.
According to the victim, she pretended to be dead until the suspects drove her in a car towards Congressional Road in Bgy. F. De Castro, GMA, where she was “dumped” near F. De Castro Elementary School at 4:35 a.m. Friday.
A security officer of the village saw the victim and immediately called the police.
Responding lawmen also found in the area a cellphone believed to be owned by one of the suspects.
The GMA police are coordinating with the Makati PNP for a thorough investigation of the case.
Police are checking the CCTV footages in the area for possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
