CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga –A 49-year-old man was arrested by the authorities after a search in his house yielded a cache of illegal firearms and ammunition in Bgy. Sta. Lucia, Magalang, Pampanga.
Pampanga Police Director Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the suspect as Tagumpay Dimatulac, 48, of Bgy. Sta Lucia, Magalang town.
Dimatulac was arrested by combined elements of the 302nd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 (RMFB3), the Technical Support Company, the Magalang police and 2nd Pampanga Provincial Mobile Force Company under the overall guidance of RMFB3 Force commander Col. Enrico Figueroa.
The suspect was arrested based on a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act issued by the Angeles City Branch 60, Regional Trial Court in Pampanga.

Seized were one cal. .45 pistol with magazine and six live ammunition rounds, two magazine assemblies with 13 rounds of live ammunition for cal. . 45 gun, a box of Armscor with 41 rounds of live ammunition for cal. . 45 gun, one 380 pistol with magazine and seven rounds of live ammunition, one magazine assembly for .380 with seven rounds of ammunition, a box of cartridge cases containing 31 rounds of .45 ammunition, one box of cartridge cases containing 29 rounds of . 380 ammunition, one M69 fragmentation grenade, one plastic sachet containing shabu, one aluminum foil and one plastic tooter in an eyeglass container.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan commended the operatives for their professionalism and adherence to due process during the implementation of the search warrant.
“This successful operation is a testament to our commitment to maintaining public safety and the rule of law. We will continue to act decisively against those who violate the law and threaten the peace and security of our communities,” Maranan said.
“Let this remind us that our police force remains vigilant and dedicated to upholding justice in the region,” he added.
