AT LEAST 1,200 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan polls candidates were issued “show cause orders” by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) over premature campaigning.
Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said they started sending “show cause orders” to candidates after the filing of certificates of candidates (COC) for the elections to be held on October 30.
Laudiangco said over 300 candidates have responded to the show cause order or submitted their respective explanations.
