KAPUSO, KAPAMILYA EXECS NAGPAKITA NG SUPORTA SA IT’S SHOWTIME

BAGO pa lumabas ang desisyon ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) ng pagbasura sa motion for reconsideration na isinumite ng “It’s Showtime” para sa 12-day airing suspension, dinalaw ng top management ng GMA 7 at ABS-CBN ang show para magbigay ng suporta sa hosts at madlang people. Sa segment ng “Fast “Talk with Boy Abunda” noong Huwebes, inanunsyo ng King of Talk na nagpasya na ang MTRCB ukol sa isyu sa isang press conference.

“Said MRs sought relief from the Board’s ruling dated August 17, 2023, regarding the July 25, 2023 episode of the live noontime television program ‘It’s Showtime!’ Specifically, during the show’s ‘Isip Bata’ segment, in which hosts Ryan Bang, Vice Ganda and Ion Perez allegedly acted indecently or inappropriately in the presence of children. 

“In view of which, the Board’s Decision dated 17 August 2023 is affirmed,”  pahayag ng MTRCB.

Ayon kay Tito Boy, ang  suspension ay hindi pa final and executory dahil puwede pang umapela ang ABS-CBN at GMA Network sa Office of the President within 15 days.

Halimbawang umayon ang office ni Pangulong Ferdinand  Marcos Jr. sa naging desisyon ng MTRCB, maaari pa rin itong isampa sa Court of Appeals at sa Korte Suprema

At habang dinidinig ang apela, puwede pa ring umere ang  “It’s Showtime.”

Sinabi naman ng ABS-CBN na natanggap na nila noong  Sept. 28 ang decision ng MTRCB sa pagbasura ng kanilang apela.

“We have received the decision of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board denying our Motion for Reconsideration regarding ‘It’s Showtime’ and are currently exploring all our remedies and options.

“In the meantime, since the imposed suspension is not yet final and executory, we would like to reassure our audiences that ‘It’s Showtime’ will continue to be seen on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and GTV. It is also available on Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC.

“We are truly grateful for the unwavering love and support that we have received from our viewers. We remain committed to bringing joy and inspiration to our beloved Madlang People,” ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ng ABS-CBN.

Sa gitna ng lahat ng ito, noong Sept. 4 ay naglabas na rin ng saloobin si Vice Ganda.
