DUMULOG ang mag-asawang celebrity na sina Mikee Quintos at Paul Salas, kasama ang pitong iba pang umano’y biktima, sa Makati City Prosecutor’s Office para magsampa ng reklamong sydicated estafa laban sa isang cryptocurrency group.
Inakusahan ng mag-asawang Salas, na umano ay natangayan ng P8 milyon, ang apat na indibidwal ng paglabag sa Presidential Decree No. 1699 o Syndicated Estafa sa ilalim ng Articles 315 at 316 ng Revised Penal Code.
“I think that’s their modus, initially gaining your trust, making you believe that the transactions with them is okay, until you’ve invested a significant amount, around P8 million in our case, and then they vanish,” paliwanag ni Quintos, sabay sabing nag-alok din sa kanila ang grupo ng dalawang investment deal.
“The first involved monthly compounding at 5%, depende sa amount na na-invest mo. May mga ledger pa sila and all.
