AT LEAST 80 Aetas on Sunday were rushed to the hospital due to alleged food poising during a feeding program in Bgy. Maruglu, Capas, Tarlac.
Based on an initial investigation, a gift-giving and feeding program activity was hosted by Bukal na Buhay Foundation from Bustos, Bulacan led by a certain “Nanay Letty” for more or less 200 Aetas in the area.
Those who attended were served with adobong manok, bistek babi, pancit, rice and spaghetti.
After eating, the victims felt dizzy, complained of stomach pain, nausea and vomited.
The victims were brought to the Ospital Ning Capas, Concepcion District Hospital and the Tarlac Provincial Hospital for medical treatment and observation.
Police were deployed to the hospital to monitor the condition of the victims and conduct an investigation.
