CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The start of the implementation of the liquor ban Sunday has resulted in the arrest of 38 violators in Bulacan and Pampanga.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said that the 38 individuals were caught in a span of six hours.
“Since the enforcement of the liquor ban commenced, our diligent efforts have led to the arrest of 38 violators in a span of merely six hours,” Hidalgo said.
Twenty-five of those arrested were from Lubao, Pampanga; five from Guiguinto, and eight from the City of San Jose del Monte, both in Bulacan.
Hidalgo has ordered his men to strictly implement the two-day liquor ban to ensure a smooth and peaceful elections on Monday.
He reminded the public that selling, distributing, serving, buying or consuming liquor are also strictly prohibited.
