A PAKISTANI national on Wednesday was robbed and shot by thieves in Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ)
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. said the victim was Khafeel Muhammad, 60, a resident of 26D Kumpang St., Binictican, SBFZ.
An investigation showed Muhammad was on his way home on a black Toyota Fortuner from Nile Nigata Yard, Boton Area, SBFZ when blocked by four men on two motorcycles on El Kabayo Road, Binictican.
One of the suspects approached the victim, pointed a gun at him and demanded to give him the money.
When the victim resisted, the suspect shot him before taking his P1.8 million placed under the seat of the vehicle, then sped off along with his cohorts.
The injured victim called his Pakistani friends, who sought assistance from personnel of the SBMA Law Enforcement Department, and rushed Muhammad to the Baypointe Hospital at the SBFZ.
Internal investigation office prober Alex Canlas found empty shells of an unknown caliber of gun on the road, on the vehicle’s passenger seat and the floor of the car.
Police are pursuing the suspects.
