A FIRE that hit a residential area in Parañaque City Thursday has left a woman and her son dead.
The victims were identified as Soledad Salvador, 69, and her 42-year-old son, Bryan Belmonte.
Parañaque City Fire Marshal FSupt. Eduardo Loon said the victims were found near the main door of the house.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started at 12:36 a.m. and reached the third alarm.
The blaze gutted houses made up of light materials. It destroyed at least 20 houses, affecting around 40 families.
The fire was declared under control after more than two hours.
Authorities have yet to determine the origin of the fire.
