POLICE are hunting down the killers of a school head teacher in Maguindanao Sur.
Victim Hermielex Kapusan, head teacher of Tukanakuden Elementary School in Bgy. Tukanakuden, Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao del Sur, was shot dead by two armed men on the national highway in Bgy. Tinumigues, Lambayong at 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to Lambayong town police chief Maj. Jethro Doligas, the victim was traveling on a motorcycle when ambushed.
An investigation showed the suspects flagged down Kapusan on the isolated road of Sultan sa Barongis-Lambayong highway before shooting him to death.
The gunmen fled after the killing.
Responding militiamen rushed the head teacher to the nearest hospital, where he was declared dead on arriva.
