PH NATIONAL ROBOTICS TEAM BAGS INT’L AWARDS

THE Philippine National Robotics Team displayed their excellent skills and ingenuity as they garnered various awards in the recently concluded World Robot Olympiad Finals held recently in Panama City, Panama.

Participated in by 82 countries across the world, the representatives from the Philippines from public and private schools nationwide, showcased their exceptional innovation, creativity, and prowess in various categories of the World Robot Olympiad.

Garnering the Silver Rankings were Future Innovators – Project 6 Elementary School (DepEd, Quezon City) Elementary Category; Dr. Yanga’s Colleges. Inc. (Bocaue, Bulacan) Future Innovators – Junior High Category; and Marie Ernestine School (Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu).

Several teams also secured notable Bronze Rankings, including Batangas State University in the Future Engineers Category and the Robo Mission Categories for both Junior High School and Senior High School; IBO Elementary School (DepEd Lapu-Lapu, Cebu) and Betty Go Elementary School (DepEd Quezon City) in the Robo Mission Elementary Category.

Japer Memorial High School in the Robo Mission and Future Innovators Categories for both Junior High School and Senior High School; and Marigondon National High School (DepEd Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu), Legazpi City Science High School (DepEd Bicol) and St. John’s Wort Academy (Antipolo City) in the Robo Sports Category also received the same recognition.

“The World Robot Olympiad Finals stand as a testament to the power of collaboration, creativity, and the future-shaping potential of robotics education and technology,” said Mylene Abiva, national organizer for the Philippine Robotics National Team and FELTA Multi-Media President/CEO.

The World Robot Olympiad is a global robotics competition that aims to spark interest and enthusiasm for science, technology, and robotics among young students. With its international reach, the WRO fosters creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills, serving as a platform for young talents to showcase their technological expertise on a global stage.
