A MEMORANDUM of agreement (MOA) was signed between the Nueva Ecija police and the Dr. Gloria D. Lacson Foundation Colleges (DGDLFC) that would benefit dependents of police personnel, including their retirees, through a sixty percent discount scholarship program being offered by the school.
Among the signatories to the historic MOA-signing were Nueva Ecija provincial director Col. Richard V. Caballero, deputy provincial director for administration Lt. Col. Julius Ceasar Manucdoc, Dr. Hossain VC Shamsoodin Vostakalaei, president of DGDLFC, and Dr. Mario C. Rosete, Dean of the Criminal Justice Education.
The MOA was signed during the flag-raising rites held Monday at the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office.
According to Caballero, the MOA offers a 60 percent discount for dependents of NEPPO personnel and police retirees who will avail to enroll in any courses at DGDLFC.
Dr. Vostakalaei said the MOA’s scope is not only limited to criminology courses but would also cover all baccalaureate and post-graduate degrees that the college is offering.
Vostakalaei thanked the Nueva Ecija PNP for reaching out to their institution to accommodate the needs of its personnel’s dependents.
He said that it is their way of appreciating the dedication and support of the uniformed personnel securing the peace and order of the community.
Caballero expressed his gratitude to Vostakalaei for recognizing the challenges being faced by NEPPO personnel and assured him that such opportunity would not go wasted.
“Opportunities like this MOA accorded to police personnel by education stakeholders is a positive manifestation of recognizing police duty,” the Nueva Ecija top cop said.
