A 51-YEAR-OLD man having drinks with friends died after he was hit by a stray bullet during New Year’s eve revelry in Bataan.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. by the Bataan police identified the victim as Brendo Oriendo, of Bgy. Biaan, Mariveles, Bataan.
Police were told that the victim and his friends were having a drinking session while waiting for the new year at Upper Porto, Balon Anito, Mariveles when the victim went out to the terrace.
Suddenly, Oriendo fell down on the floor.
The friends rushed Oriendo to the Mariveles District Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival from a gunshot wound at the left portion of his body.
Authorities are conducting an investigation into the identity of the owner of the gun whose bullet hit the victim.
