CAMP VICENTE LIM, Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna – Joint operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Batangas Provincial Field Unit and the local police arrested a most wanted person in an operation in Lipa City, Batangas.
A report to CIDG Regional Field Unit 4A chief Col. Jacinto “Jac” Malinao Jr. identified the suspect as Sherwin Endaya.
CIDG Batangas provincial officer Lt. Col. Victor Sobrepena said the arrested suspect is listed as most wanted person in the national level with a P135,000 bounty for his capture.
Endaya, the subject of COPLAN HACKER of the CIDG Batangas PFU under the CIDG Flagship Program OPLAN PAGTUGIS, was caught in his hideout in Bgy. San Carlos in Lipa City.
The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Hon. Hermenegildo Lacap, Presiding Judge, Branch 83, Tanauan City.
Records showed Endaya stabbed and killed Ruben Laydia Sr. at G Leviste St, Poblacion, Malvar, Batangas on April 22, 2007.
The suspect was captured following two months of surveillance by tracker teams of the Batangas CIDG PFU.
Endaya was brought to the CIDG Batangas PFU office for documentation and proper disposition..
