A MOTORCYCLE-RIDING man robbed the passengers of a tricycle in Marcelino Zambales.
Suspect Jonathan Versoza, 38, of Bgy. San Jose, Castillejos, Zambales, was arrested by the pursuing police.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. by Zambales police director Col. Ricardo Panga, the victims were identified as Burt Beltran, 67, a former overseas Filipino worker residing at 104 Fuji St. Rich View State Valley in Canlubang, Laguna; Domingo Algabre, 34, a security guard and a resident of Purok 2 Bgy. San Rafael, San Marcelino Zambales; and Medelino Gaudier, 51, of Purok 2 Nagbunga, Castillejos Zambales.
Police were told that the victims were on a tricycle travelling on the national highway in Bgy. Nagbunga, San Marcelino going to Castillejos, when the suspect on a motorcycle blocked their path and declared a holdup.
The suspect took the victims’ cash and valuables then fled with the loot.
Immediately, San Marcelino police chief Maj. Marvin Domacena informed the Zambales police to conduct a dragnet operation to arrest the robber.
Members of the Castillejos police intercepted the suspect on the highway in Bgy. San Juan, Castillejos.
The suspect was turned over to the San Marcelino police for filing of robbery charges.
