THE local government unit of General Trias City under the leadership of Mayor Luis “Jon Jon” Ferrer IV recently formally opened a Peoples Park at Green Breeze Village in Bgy. Biclatan in the city.
Ferrer was joined by Cavite 6th district Rep. Antonio Ferrer, Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen and 12 city councilors and Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) federation President Erineo Hatid at the inauguration.
The three-hectare Peoples Park in the upland part of the city contains a bike trail, jogger pathway, elevated nature walkway, skate park complete with comfort rooms, outdoor fitness, playground for kids and an amphi-theater.
The one-hectare Phase 1 of the park will be opened to the public, particularly the bikers and joggers, on April 2, 2024 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m..
This is the second bike trail in the city. The first is in the Riverpark Trails in Bgy. Navarro under the Federal Land Communities which was opened on January 20.
The 1.8 kilometers bike trails were approved by Federal Land executives and GenTri LGU officials.
