MOTORCYCLE-RIDING armed men on Saturday shot a female vendor dead in Magalang, Pampanga
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Pampanga police director Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the victim as Elizabeth Sunga, 67, a resident of San Pablo, Magalang town.
The gun attack occurred while the victim was traveling on a motorcycle in Don Luis Dizon Drive, Purok 1, San Pablo, Magalang.
Sunga’s companion and driver of the motorcycle Eduardo Maristela, 56, of Purok 1, San Pablo told police that they were going to Magalang town proper when two unidentified persons wearing helmets on another motorcycle suddenly overtook them, and the backrider fired shots at the victim, causing her to fall on the road.
The victim was rushed to the Dr. Andres Luciano District Hospital in San Pablo, Magalang, Pampanga but was declared dead upon arrival.
Police are reviewing the CCTV footages in the area, and has launched a dragnet operation and flash alarm for the possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
