FOUR alleged robbers trying to rob a convenience store in Floridablanca, Pampanga on Monday were arrested by responding lawmen.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, Pampanga police director Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the suspects as Daniel Dave Tolingan, 25; Tom Contade, 22; Harold Bangloy, 21; all residents of Quirino Hills, Baguio City; and Tristan Awa, 19, of Pinget Subd. Mountain Province.
Prior to the arrest, police were informed by the security guard of Alfa Mart Convenience Store in Bgy. Consuelo, Floridablanca, Pampanga about four men who barged into the store.
Responding cops caught in the act suspect Tristan while his cohorts fled.
A hot pursuit operation was conducted, which led to the arrest of Tom, Harold and Daniel Dave in Porac, Pampanga.
Further investigation revealed that the suspects gained entry into the convenience store by destroying the steel backdoor.
Recovered from the suspects were a cal. .45 gun loaded with five live bullets, a cal. .38 pistol loaded with live ammunition, four hand grenades, P90, 000 in cash, various grocery items, heavy equipment tools and one white Toyota Fortuner which the suspects used as getaway vehicle.
