CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Members of the Central Luzon PNP arrested two suspects in the robbery-holdup of an Alfamart Convenience Store in Bgy. Balsik, Hermosa, Bataan less than 24 hours after the crime was committed.
Police said the robbery occurred around 12:45 p.m. on February 12 and was reported to the authorities at 1:30 p.m..
Acting swiftly, Bataan police launched an extensive investigation through CCTV footage review.
By 1 p.m. on February 13, the suspects were tracked down and apprehended in Bgy. Saguing, Dinalupihan, Bataan.
Police said the suspects, identified only as alias “Jr,” 32, and alias “Gil,” 31, both residents of Bgy. Saguing, were caught with the evidence linking them to the crime.
Confiscated from the suspects were P8,500 in various denominations, a pellet gun resembling a cal. .45 firearm, a helmet, a face cover marked “PIRMA,” and the motorcycle used in the robbery.
A case for robbery was filed against the arrested suspects.
Alias “Jr.” will also face additional charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and Comelec Resolution 11067 or gun ban.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo lauded the swift action of the operatives.
“The successful operation is proof that criminals have nowhere to hide. Our law enforcement teams will strike fast, pursue relentlessly, and bring justice without hesitation. This is our commitment to protecting our communities—swift, decisive, and uncompromising,” Fajardo said.
