A PARCEL containing over P5.5 million worth of shabu declared as toys on Thursday was intercepted at a cargo warehouse in Clark Freeport Zone, Clarkfield, Pampanga.
Joint personnel of the General Aviation Police Station 3, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Clark, Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Clark Inter-Agency-Drug Interdiction Task Group (CIA-DITG) led the inspection of a medium-sized box misdeclared as toys.
The box was found to be containing four violet plastic containers labeled as kinetic sand, five small-sized violet plastic containers also labeled as kinetic sand, and one orange oval shaped plastic container labeled as Jurassic World.
Inside the plastic containers were heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets with white crystalline substance or shabu with a combined weight of at least 816 grams valued at P5,538,800.
The parcel was shipped on February 17, 2024 from Los Angeles, California and was consigned to a certain “Dan” of Bgy. Balulang, Cagayan De Oro City.
The seized parcel was turned over by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) to the custody of the PDEA CRK-IADITG for filing of appropriate charges.
