A BIOLOGY student and beauty queen on Thursday died in a fire that hit the Laguna State Polytechnic University College of Arts and Sciences in Bgy. Bubukal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
The victim was identified as Trisha Macalagay, an official of the Supreme Student Council, and Miss Paete Tourism in 2022.
Her body was found in the comfort room during clearing operations.

Investigation showed the fire started at the laboratory room of the College of Arts and Sciences at 12:43 p.m. on Thursday.
Firefighters immediately responded. They were able to contain the blaze before 7.pm..
Officials are still determining the cause of the fire.
