Good news, commuters!
According to LRT-1’s advisory issued Tuesday, its last train will leave Dr. Santos station in Parañaque City at 10:30 p.m. while the last train from Fernando Poe Jr. station in Quezon City will leave at 10:45 p.m..
The LRT-1 is the second rail line to extend its operating hours at night, following the same move by MRT-3 which started on Monday.
From Monday to Friday, the first train departs Dr. Santos and Fernando Poe Jr. stations at 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. on weekends and holidays.
Last week Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon conducted an inspection of the MRT-3 and called on the management to extend its operating hours to make commuting easier and more convenient for passengers.
LRT-1 has a total of 25 stations: Fernando Poe Jr., Balintawak, Monumento, 5th Avenue, R. Papa, Abad Santos, Bluementritt, Tayuman, Bambang, Doroteo Jose, Carriedo, Central Terminal, United Nations, Pedro Gil, Quirino, Vito Cruz, Gil Puyat, Libertad, EDSA, Baclaran, Redemptorist-Aseana, MIA Road, PITX, Ninoy Aquino Avenue, and Dr. Santos.
