CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – A fast police response by the police on Monday led to the arrest of a motorcycle thief in Bgy. Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga
Pampanga police director Col. Jay Dimaandal said the victim was Rafael, 30, of Malolos City, Bulacan.
Rafael parked his white motorcycle outside Mabuti Apartment in Pineda Subdivision and left.
Two suspects — a 42-year-old man from Sta. Teresita, Angeles City, and a 37-year-old man from Cuayan, Angeles City — allegedly stole the unattended motorcycle.
The victim sought help from patrolling officers from the Mabalacat Police Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit (TMRU).
The officers launched a follow-up operation and spotted the suspects dragging a motorcycle.
One of the suspects was arrested while the other eluded arrest.
Dimaandal urged the public to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to prevent becoming victims of crime.
“This successful operation highlights our relentless commitment to ensuring public safety and upholding the rule of law. We continue to strengthen patrol visibility, intelligence gathering, and crime prevention initiatives to deter criminal activities before they happen. However, we also urge the public to remain vigilant and take precautions to prevent becoming victims of crime. Your cooperation is vital in maintaining peace and order in Pampanga,” Dimaandal said.
