A FIRE on Sunday hit the old building of Ospital ng Maynila (OSMA) on Quirino Avenue in Malate, Manila.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire broke out at 1:30 a.m. Sunday at the ground floor of the building and raised to first alarm.
The blaze immediately spread and reached the fifth floor.
Nine firetrucks from the BFP, Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and fire volunteers responded and contained the blaze.
Firefighters declared a fire out at 2:27 a.m. of the same day.
No one was reported injured.
Hospital personnel told probers that a room where medical supplies were stored was affected by the fire.
An investigation is ongoing on what caused the fire and the cost of fire damage.
