A MAN who stabbed dead the two-year-old son of his live-in partner on Friday was arrested by the police in Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Pampanga police director Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the suspect as alias “Ram,” 28, of Livelihood Village, Bgy. San Roque, Dau 1st, Lubao, Pampanga.
Members of the Lubao police, the Pampanga Police Intelligence Unit, and the Pampanga SWAT team arrested the suspect at the house where he was hiding in Bgy. San Roque, Dau 1st.
Initial report showed alias “Ram,” a rooster gaffer, and his live-in partner Princess, 23, were heard arguing at their house when suddenly, the suspect strangled the woman, prompting her to run outside the house.
The suspect then turned his ire on the two-year-old boy by beating him.
When the woman entered the house again, she saw her child lying unconscious on the floor and when she tried to pick him up, the suspect stabbed them hitting the boy’s belly.
The woman screamed for help and neighbors rushed them to the Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Hospital in Guagua, Pampanga, where the boy was declared dead upon arrival.
During the operation, apprehending officers also arrested an alias ”Ronald,” who hid the suspect at his house. He will be charged with obstruction of justice.
Police said the arrested step dad will be charged with homicide, attempted homicide, and violation of Republic Act 9262 also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
