POLICE are hunting down a tricycle driver who allegedly raped a 28-year-old woman inside a public cemetery in Bamban, Tarlac.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, the Tarlac police identified the victim as “Tep,” of Bgy. Baras-Baras, Tarlac City.
Probers were told that the victim was traveling from Bgy. Dolores, Mabalacat City, Pampanga to visit her aunt. As she was about to leave, an unidentified tricycle driver offered her a ride.
However, instead of taking her to her destination, the suspect brought the victim to a public cemetery in Bgy. Banaba in Bamban, where she was sexually molested and beaten by the suspect.
Concerned citizens who saw the victim rushed her to the Tarlac Provincial Hospital for medical treatment.
Members of the Bamban police are conducting an investigation for possible identification and arrest of the suspect.
