H.E.L.P Pilipinas, a dedicated organization that rose to prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic, is seeking a seat in Congress come May 12, 2025 elections.
H.E.L.P. Pilipinas Partylist 1st nominee Congresswoman Dr. Mildred V. Vitangcol on Monday explained the mission and vision of the group to around 150 of their coordinators and leaders from Calamba, Los Banos, Alaminos, and San Pablo in Laguna and Tanauan City, Batangas.

She said H.E.L.P., which stands for Health, Education, and Livelihood Programs, continues its unwavering support to Filipino communities through key programs.
With a mission to act as a bridge for more accessible public services, the organization aims to foster meaningful legislation and sustainable initiatives that directly respond to the everyday needs of Filipino families.
Vitangcol, a medical doctor specializing in Gastroenterology, is also a philanthropist and a community advocate.
The founding chairperson of H.E.L.P Pilipinas Partylist has affiliations with civic organizations such as Rotary, Innerwheel, and Zonta, that reflect her lifelong commitment to service.
Before her retirement in 2022, she served as the President, CEO, and chairperson of the Board of St. Peter Life Plans, where her visionary leadership earned her global recognition as one of the Empowered Women of the World.
Throughout her career, Vitangcol has spearheaded community-driven programs focused on maternal and child health, youth education, environmental protection, and access to clean water.
Her advocacy also extends to organizations like Physicians for Peace and Operation Smile, which provide free medical services to marginalized communities.
She holds advanced degrees in Hospital Administration and Strategic Business Economics and is widely regarded as a multi-awarded leader in both healthcare and social enterprise.
If elected, Vitangcol vowed to further expand health, education, and livelihood services nationwide.
She intends to draw from her extensive background in medicine and public service to craft impactful legislation that uplifts Filipino families, particularly those from underserved sectors.
“We envision a future where no Filipino is left behind in accessing basic services,” Vitangcol said.
“Our goal is to make a lasting difference in the lives of people through genuine service and purposeful leadership,” she added.
