POLICE on Thursday arrested two drug suspects following the confiscation of a gun and shabu worth over P400,000 in an entrapment operation in Abucay, Bataan.
In a report to Police Regional Office (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Bataan police acting director Col. Marites Salvadora identified the suspects as alias “Amer,” 31, a trader residing in Samal, Bataan; and alias “Salen,” 40, a construction worker and a resident of Orani, Bataan.
Combined operatives of the Bataan Provincial Intelligence Unit under the supervision of Lt. Col. Roldan Gallano and the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Abucay police under Maj. Gerald John Bautista launched the operation, with the help of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 3, in Bgy. Mabatang, Abucay.
Seized from the suspects were three small plastic sachets and two large sizes of shabu valued at P469,200, a cal. .38 revolver loaded with four live bullets, and the marked money.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested duo.
