‘BETONG’ FALLS VICTIM TO CELLPHONE SNATCHER

KAPUSO comedian Betong Sumaya on Monday fell victim to snatcher in Quezon City.

Betong or Alberto “Betong” Sermonia Sumaya Jr. in real life, on Facebook said the incident happened around 1 a.m. last Monday on Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City.

He said he was booking for a ride-hailing app car when a motorcycle-riding man pulled over in front of him and suddenly grabbed his cellphone.

“Guys na-snatch ang cellphone ko sa Tomas Morato QC. Habang nagbo-book ako ng Grab biglang may motor na dumaan sa harap ko at ang bilis ng pangyayari ‘di ko na siya nahabol. Gamit ko ngayon ay ang Ipad ko,” Betong said.

The Bubble Gang actor immediately reported the incident to the Kamuning Police Station and sought help to track his phone.

He said upon using the “find the device,” they were able to locate the phone around Sta. Mesa, Manila but failed to recover it.

“Ingat tayo guys, walang pinipiling lugar at oras ang mga masasamang loob,” Sumaya advised the public.
