CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) officially launched its Media Action Center (MAC), reinforcing its Regional Election Monitoring Action Center (REMAC), as part of its continued preparations for the 2025 midterm elections.
The two action centers will serve as key information hubs for the upcoming elections in the region.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo led the event which was attended by representatives from the Commission on Elections (Comelec), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and media members from various provinces in Central Luzon.
The highlight of the activity was the Communication Exercise (COMEX) or a simulation activity designed to test the readiness, capability, and response time of police units to potential election-related incidents.
The COMEX assessed the communication and coordination between the PRO3 Command Center and provincial and city police offices, as well as field units, using various communication platforms.
The results will serve as basis for enhancing PRO3’s command and control capabilities.
“The COMEX is crucial to ensure that our police personnel can respond quickly, effectively, and organizedly to any incidents that may affect the orderliness and security of the elections. This measures our readiness in times of need,” Fajardo said.
She added that the MAC opening will serve as a bridge between the PNP and media partners to expedite the dissemination of accurate information.
Meanwhile, the REMAC will be the primary center for reporting and providing updates on election security.
Representatives from the media and Comelec expressed their full support for PRO3’s initiatives and assured their cooperation to achieve a peaceful, orderly, and honest election.
