ANTI-DRUG operatives on Tuesday arrested two foreigners in a buy-bust operation in front of PRI Hospital on Arayat Blvd., Bgy. Pampang, Angeles City, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Angeles City Police acting director Col. Joselito Villarosa Jr. identified the arrested suspects as alias “Yong,” 28, a Chinese national; and alias “Sung,” 38, a Korean.
The target of the operation identified as alias “Boss” eluded arrest.
Authorities said the two foreigners were both staying at an apartment in Bgy. Margot, Angeles City.
Members of the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (lead Unit), Police Station 2 Angeles City Police Office, and the Regional Intelligence Unit 3 of the Police Regional Office 3 conducted the entrapment on the suspects following reports of their alleged involvement in illegal drugs.
The arrested suspects yielded two plastic sachets of shabu weighing around five grams valued at P34,000.
The suspects are now under the custody of the Angeles City police.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested foreign nationals.
