OPERATIVES on Thursday arrested a Chinese woman following the confiscation from her of over P9 million worth of illegal vape products in a buy-bust operation in Marilao, Bulacan.
Nabbed was alias “Ping,”of Bgy. Prenza 1, Marilao, said a report to Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) regional chief Col. Richard Bad-Ang.
Members of the CIDG Pampanga Provincial Field Unit, together with the CIDG Bulacan, launched “Oplan: Megashopper” on the suspect after the Pampanga PFU received an information from a confidential informant on the alleged selling of unregistered vape products in Apalit, Pampanga.
Police coordinated with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and confirmed that the vape products with brand Eutral being sold by the foreigner is not registered with the BIR.
A poseur-buyer contacted the suspect to order the vape products and they met in Apalit.
In the course of their transaction, they agreed to go directly to the warehouse located in Bgy Prenza 1, Marilao, Bulacan to complete the transaction.
Upon reaching the place and after the exchange of payment, police arrested the suspect .
Seized were 10 boxes containing 4,000 pieces of Eutral brand vape in assorted flavors, 55 boxes containing 22,000 pieces of Eutral brand vape in assorted flavors with a total amount of P9,100,000, as well as the marked and boodle money.
Bad-Ang said the suspect will be charged with violation of Republic Act 11900 or the Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act.
