CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — More than 12,000 police officers, augmentation units, and community volunteers were deployed across Central Luzon to ensure public safety during the observance of All Saints and All Souls’ Days.
According to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., over 3,000 PRO3 personnel will be stationed at cemeteries, churches, transport terminals, tourist spots, and other public areas starting October 29.
Provincial and city police directors have been instructed to directly oversee security and traffic operations.
The deployment will be strengthened by more than 1,000 personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, (AFP) Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
They will also be supported by around 7,600 force multipliers, including barangay tanods, civic groups, and non-government volunteers.
Police presence will be established in at least 664 cemeteries and memorial parks, 139 motorists assistance centers, 611 police assistance desks, and other key convergence points throughout the region.
Peñones said the security plan aligns with the PNP’s Enhanced Managing Police Operations strategy, which prioritizes effective crowd control and public safety during major activities and events.
He said they have mobilized sufficient personnel to ensure a peaceful and orderly ‘Undas’ 2025 as part of their commitment to protect and serve the people during one of the busiest annual holidays.
The official also thanked partner agencies and volunteers for their continued cooperation, describing their involvement as a testament to the spirit of “bayanihan.”
Security and emergency response operations for “Undas” will continue until November 5.
