OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday arrested the consignee of a parcel containing shabu worth P6.8 million in Pasay City.
According to PDEA, suspect alias “Ruth” 28, claimed the parcel at the Central Mail Exchange Center in Pasay City.
The suspect told operatives that she was not aware that the parcel contained illegal drugs.

Upon inspection, authorities discovered several self-sealing transparent plastic bags wrapped in foil and cling wrap, all containing approximately one kilogram of suspected shabu.
Authorities also confiscated a mobile phone, a notice card, and several identification cards, one bearing the consignee’s name and others found to be fake and under different identities.
The confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to PDEA.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Republic Act 10863 or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act were filed against the consignee.
