PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has accepted the resignations of several officials who did not meet the expected standards of performance.
Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin announced during a Palace press briefing on Tuesday that the services of four more officials have been discontinued.
“Well, the assessment about them is that they did not perform up to par, that is the assumption. So, we will just leave it at that,” Bersamin said.
“The four whom we have named today were probably those that the President as of now has determined that they have not delivered on their respective mandates,” Bersamin added.
They are Meynardo Sabili, chairperson and chief executive officer of the Presidential Commission for Urban Poor; Terence C. Calatrava, presidential assistant for the Visayas; Almarim C. Tillah, presidential assistant on Muslim affairs; and Menardo M. Espineli, presidential adviser for special concerns.
Bersamin described the President as a manager implementing a reorganization.
“It is only the President who can decide if we performed up to par or we delivered on those promises or the expectation that he gave to us, announced to us at the beginning,” the Executive Secretary said.
