SOME P28.5 million worth of “high-grade” marijuana or kush on Friday was seized in a buy-bust operation in Marilao, Bulacan.
Nabbed during the operation was alias “Hero,” 43, of Bgy. Patubig, Marilao, Bulacan.
Operatives of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 3 (PNP-DEG SOU3, Intelligence and Foreign Liaison Division (IFLD) PNP DEG, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Special Enforcement Service (PNP SES) and the Marilao police launched the entrapment.
Confiscated were three plastics with “PPC 25” markings and containing “high-grade” kush weighing at least 1,500 grams valued at P2,250,000; another 35 plastics containing “high-grade” marijuana weighing at least 17,500 grams worth P26,250,000; and the buy-bust money.
PDEA 3 said the overall confiscated marijuana weighed around 19 kilos and worth P28.5 million..
The arrested suspect is now in the custody of the Marilao police facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
