JOINT operatives led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Region 3 (CIDG-3) captured a man allegedly involved in illegal drugs and killings in the provinces of Pampanga and Laguna.
CIDG Region 3 chief Col. Richard Bad-Ang said arrested in Sta. Cruz, Laguna was alias “Dizon,” 35, of Bgy. West Triangle, Quezon City.
The suspect was caught by joint operatives of the CIDG Nueva Ecija Provincial Field Unit, the Angeles City police, the Regional Intelligence Unit 3 CIT Angeles, CIDG Angeles CFU, CIDG Laguna. and Sta. Cruz, Laguna police at Lynville Subdivision in Bgy.Bakulkul, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
Bad-Ang said the suspect was involved in several killings and drug cases in the provinces of Pampanga and Laguna.
Records showed alias “Dizon” was arrested in buy-bust operations in Santo Angel Sur, Sta. Cruz, Laguna on July 23, 2015 and in Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga on March 14, 2020.
While detained at the Mabalacat police jail facility, the suspect was implicated in the killing of his co-detainee and a case of homicide was filed against him.
On February 12, 2024, the RTC Branch 18 of Angeles City issued a warrant for the suspect’s arrest for homicide. During the arrest, the suspect yielded shabu and a gun, prompting the filing of cases against him for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition and Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In September 2024, a murder case was also filed against the accused after he was implicated in the killing of an Army reservist who was allegedly the lover of his live-in partner in Angeles City.
On January 20, 2025, a warrant for the murder of the soldier was issued against the suspect by the RTC Branch 56 of Angeles City.
According to Bad-Ang, after receiving information on the whereabouts of alias “Dizon,” the CIDG Nueva Ecija PFU tracked him down in a subdivision in Sta. Cruz, Laguna that resulted in the arrest.
