CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The June 30 oathtaking of the newly-elected officials in Central Luzon on Monday was safe and orderly and no major security incidents were reported, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said.
The PRO3 under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. successfully ensured the peaceful and orderly conduct of the simultaneous oathtaking and inauguration ceremonies of newly-elected local government officials in the region.
In anticipation of the large gatherings and heightened public activity, all provincial, city, and municipal police stations were placed on full alert.
Extensive coordination with local government units, force multipliers, and other security stakeholders was conducted to guarantee a safe, smooth, and dignified transition of local leadership in the region.
“Our police personnel were strategically deployed in all activity areas to ensure that this important democratic event was carried out peacefully and without any untoward incident,” said Peñones.
“This reflects our continued commitment to public service and our vital role in strengthening democratic institutions,” he added.
The Central Luzon top cop commended the unwavering dedication of PRO3 personnel and partner agencies for their coordinated efforts and professionalism during the ceremonial proceedings.
He said npublic response remained cooperative and orderly, affirming the trust and confidence of the community in the capabilities of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
With the successful deployment, PRO3 reaffirms its commitment to uphold peace and order and support the democratic processes that shape the future of the region.
