DEPARTMENT of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon has ordered the perpetual revocation of the driver’s license of a motorist who was caught driving on the wrong side of the Skyway early morning on Saturday.
Based on a CCTV footage, at around 3:32 a.m. on Saturday, the driver of a sports utility vehicle was seen moving against traffic on Skyway northbound.
The dangerous driving forced several vehicles to swerve to avoid a head-on collision.
A Skyway patroller eventually intercepted and stopped the vehicle.
According to Dizon, a suspension is not enough for the driver for endangering the lives of others.
“I have ordered the permanent revocation of his driver’s license so that his reckless driving will not be imitated,” the DOTr secretary said.
He urged the public to continue reporting such incidents to the Department of Transportation (DOTr) for swift action.
