AUTHORITIES on Tuesday seized a parcel containing illegal drugs at Clark Freeport Zone in Mabacalacat City, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Penones Jr., Pampanga police director Col. Eugene M. Marcelo said an inbound parcel containing illegal drugs was intercepted at the UPS Cargo Area of the Clark Freeport Zone.
Marcelo said the shipment came from Harrison St., Hollywood, Florida, USA and arrived in the country on Aug. 11.
The parcel is consigned to a certain Gabriel of Baguio City, according to the Clark Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (CRK-IADITG).
Upon passing through an X-ray machine, a Bureau of Customs (BOC) examiner found out the parcel allegedly contained suspected illegal substance, prompting him to report the matter to the General Aviation Police Station.
Upon inspection, found inside the small brown box are transparent bags. Each transparent bag contains dried leaves and fruitings suspected to be marijuana or kush weighing 16 grams with an estimated value of P26,109, one vape cartridge worth P684, and a resealable pouch containing 10 gummies suspected to be cannabinoid with an estimated value of P1,425.
Samples of the seized items were brought to PDEA laboratory 3 for confirmatory examination.
