POLICE are hunting down a man who on Monday stabbed his own daughter to death in Lubao, Pampanga.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. by Pampanga police director Col. Eugene M. Marcelo identified the suspect as alias “Mendo,” a resident of Bgy. San Jose Gumi, Lubao town.
The suspect fled after the killing.
An investigation showed that prior to the stabbing, the suspect, who was drunk, had an argument with 31-year-old Joel Marino.
During the quarrel, the suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed Marino on the arm.
The suspect’s daughter saw the incident and tried to pacify her father but instead was stabbed several times by the suspect.
The daughter died on the spot while Marino was brought to the Escolastica Romero, Lubao, Pampanga for treatment.
Charges for parricide and attempted homicide are being readied for filing in court against the suspect.
