FORMER Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bulacan assistant district engineer Brice Ericson Hernandez who linked some senators to questionable flood control projects on Tuesday night was transferred to the Philippine National Police (PNP) custodial facility in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Hernandez was brought by the Senate van to the PNP detention compound at around 6:08 p.m. Tuesday.
Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said Hernandez will be held at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame, but will remain strictly under the supervision of the Office of the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms (OSAA).
Sotto said the decision was reached in coordination with House Speaker Martin Romualdez, in recognition of the inter-parliamentary courtesy.
“To make sure he is safe but still in custody of the Senate, the Speaker and I agreed to place him in the PNP Custodial Center but under the supervision of the Senate OSAA,” Sotto said.
Hernandez earlier linked Estrada and Villanueva to flood control projects mess.
Both senators vehemently denied Hernandez’ allegations.
