ANTI-DRUG operatives on Monday arrested a “high-value target” (HVT) and four of his cohorts in a buy-bust operation that yielded P476,000 worth of shabu in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. showed that the Mabalacat City Police Station – Drug Enforcement Unit launched the entrapment in Madapdap Resettlement Center, Bgy. Dapdap .
Arrested were alias “Del,” 47, tagged as a HVT; alias alias “Jing,” 50; alias “Jay,” 38; alias “Yel,” 29; and alias “Paeng,” 26.
Seized from the suspects were 70 grams of shabu worth at least P476,000.
The arrested suspects were brought to the Mabalacat City police for documentation and filing of criminal charges.
Peñones commended the arresting team, stressing that the anti-drug campaign remains a priority in Central Luzon.
“This successful operation is proof that our anti-drug drive, anchored on the 7 Focus Agenda of acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., is producing concrete results, the official said.
“The arrest of a ‘high-value target’ and his cohorts shows our determination to dismantle drug networks in Central Luzon,” he added.
Peñones urged the public to support the police in their anti-criminality and anti-drug drives.
“We call on our communities to stay vigilant and actively report any drug-related activities. With your support, we can safeguard our families and preserve peace and order,” the official added.
