OPERATIVES of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO£) on Monday arrested three men for stealing copper wires worth P213,750 in Talavera, Nueva Ecija.
Arrested were males aged 23 to 24 and all residents of Bgy. Malasin, San Jose City.
The security guards of RJS Commodities Inc. in Bgy. Bakal 2 caught the suspects cutting copper cable wires inside the company compound.
Responding members of the Talavera police arrested the three suspects while two others managed to escape.
Confiscated from the arrested suspects were about 112.5 meters of copper wires.
Authorities are preparing a robbery complaint against the arrested suspects while follow-up operations continue to track down the two other suspects.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. lauded the swift police’ response and vowed continued efforts to maintain public order in Central Luzon.
“We will not allow lawless individuals to disrupt the peace and safety of our communities. I urge the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station,” Peñones said.
The official assured that operations across the region remain aligned with the Philippine National Police’s 7 Focus Agenda, particularly on strengthening crime prevention and community safety.
