2 MEN SURVIVE GUN ATTACK IN ANGELES CITY

TWO men on Tuesday cheated death following a gun attack in Bgy. Malabanias, Angeles City, Pampanga.

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., the Angeles City police said the incident happened in front of a Flying V gasoline station at the corner of Elvira and Narciso Streets.

Victims Dennis Baluyut, 33, of Concepcion, Tarlac; and Jonathan Velasco, 32, of Angeles City, told police that they were in a Hyundai Staria with plate number CCC 2573 when they suddenly heard gunshots. 

The two immediately fled the area and later reported the attack to Police Station 4.

Investigators discovered eight bullet holes on the lower left portion of the driver’s seat area.

Police investigators have requested nearby CCTV footage and sought assistance from the Angeles City Forensic Unit (ACFU) for scene processing.

Both Baluyut and Velasco were also asked to undergo a polygraph examination.

A follow-up investigation is ongoing to identify the gunman and determine the motive for the shooting.
