PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visited a primary school for Aeta students in Pampanga on Friday to oversee the distribution of government aid and the administration’s ongoing initiatives for internet connectivity.
President Marcos observed the Grades 1, 2, and 3 classes of the Katutubo Village Elementary School in Bgy. Planas in Porac, Pampanga.
The President oversaw the distribution of Brigada Backpacks to 127 students and the turnover of two satellite-connected Starlink units to provide the school with internet access.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) provided meals for the students through its mobile kitchen.
President Marcos also directed the Department of Health (DOH) to conduct a medical mission to address the health concerns of the school children. The President particularly noted that many of the children have cleft lip and palate.
Before visiting the Katutubo Village Elementary School, the President led the distribution of carabaos and farm implements to Aeta communities.
The Chief Executive also said the DSWD would provide P10,000 each to almost 1,200 beneficiaries from Bgy. Planas and Camias in Porac.
